1/32 Tailored PC10, PC12 and Linen decals for Wingnut Wings kit..
Earlier mixes of the PC10 dope are thought to have been "greener" than the later mixes, which had a "browner" tone, eventually leading to a red/brown or "chocolate" mix PC12 being introduced.
No one colour can represent these long-argued camouflage colours - the effects of light, direction, time of day and quite possibly different batch mixes means there are an infinite number of possibilities.
As the following photos attest - same model, same decals - different time of day and light conditions!...
Two original WW1 propeller blades from my collection with doped linen protective tips - two distinctly different PC10's - and the Aviattic scaled versions - all of which can be altered to taste by changing the recommended underlying gloss surface from white to off-white, pale cream, pale grey...
