1/72 "streaking" decals for Fokker DR.I and F.I

Minor alterations may be required depending on kit accuracy...
1/72 Fokker DR.I and F.I sets are reduced from 1/32 Roden kit templates, which are accurate to the most recent "Windsock" (Albatros Productions) drawings.
The Eduard kit of the triplane has a couple of idiosyncrasies that you will need to correct for the decals to fit.

1) For added realism, remove ailerons and elevator from wings and tailplane. This will allow the     decals to "fold under" into the recesses as intended. Otherwise, these slivers of decal will need to be removed. Then re-attach the parts set at realistic angles.

2) The Eduard horizontal stabiliser is fractionally oversized - as are the elevators. Cut decals to size and offer up (dry) before applying to determine how much plastic to remove.

3) Remove moulded breather pipes from both sides of fuselage and re-instate after decalling fuselage sides.

4) Remove moulded aileron and elevator horns, then decal and reinstate afterwards with p/e alternatives or scrap plastic

5) Trimming of the wing caps (ends) may be necessary, after they have dried and conformed with chosen solutions, with a very sharp razor blade.
